Saint Isidore protects new Leo Burnett Brussels website

First site with blessing of the Patron Saint of the Internet
Leo Burnett Brussels has launched a new website, www.leoburnett.be. The site enjoys the godly protection of Saint Isidore of Seville, the patron saint of the internet. A short online movie shows the trip to Spain and the blessing by the Archbishop of Seville, Monsignor Asenjo.

Leo Burnett Brussels becomes the new communication partner of Keytrade Bank, the most important Belgian (also active in The Netherlands, Switzerland and Luxemburg) internet bank and market leader in online transactions. Leo Burnett Brussels will focus on the strategic part of the communication, positioning and the media campaigns. In addition, the agency will also develop and implement acts.

Free ringtones promote label Brussels Philharmonic Recordings
Leo Burnett Brussels and Brussels Philharmonic developed classical music ringtones to promote the classical orchestra’s own record label. In collaboration with the orchestra 12 ringtones were created based upon recordings from the major symphonic repertoire. These ringtones can be downloaded free of charge via www.brusselsphilharmonic.be/ringtones. Twelve ringtones are being launched to start with, via the orchestra’s own website and iTunes.

Leo Burnett Brussels win 3 Cannes Lions

Silver Radio Lion, Bronze Cyber Lion and Bronze for Belgium in Young Creatives Press competition
Leo Burnett Brussels’ Fiat Cabrio Days radio campaign won a Silver Lion in the Cannes radio competition last week. Its Out Of Office Poetry Campaign for Stichting Lezen scored a Bronze Lion in the cyber competition. And Leo Burnett’s youngest creatives won a Bronze Lion for their ad in the Press edition of the Young Competition. A Belgian first and the only Cannes Press win for Belgium this year in what turned out to be a record year for Belgian advertising with a big haul of 33 Lions.

Flagey neighbours to support communication choir and orchestra
Early February Leo Burnett Brussels started working for Brussels Philharmonic, one of Belgium’s most important symphonic orchestras and Oscar winner for their soundtrack to ‘The Artist’ by film director Michel Hazanavicius. Leo Burnett will create actions and campaigns to promote both Brussels Philharmonic and the Flemish Radio Choir. The collaboration took off immediately.

Famous Dutch and Flemish poets’ unique poems featured in out of office replies
Poetry Day is an annual literature festival organized by The Reading Foundation (Stichting Lezen) in Belgium and the Netherlands. To announce Poetry Day 2012 Leo Burnett Brussels created an original digital campaign. Famous Dutch and Flemish poets such as Joke van Leeuwen, Stijn Vranken, Lies Van Gasse, Ester Naomi Perquin and Joe Roxy, each wrote a unique poem for an out of office reply. Leo Burnett and P&G let Bonux laundry detergent shine as the smart choice

New television campaign tackles laundry advertising cliches and presents low cost as a rational buy
Leo Burnett Brussels created a new television campaign for Bonux, Procter & Gamble’s low cost laundry detergent. In 6 films directed by Dutch video artists Lernert & Sander, the biggest laundry advertising cliches get tackled. For example, Bonux argues that waving palm trees and difficult scientific words do not make a detergent any better. And anything that does not improve the product, is unnecessary for the consumer who needs value for money. Finally there is a brand that takes advantage of its low-tier position and that actually says what people have been thinking for ages.
